We all Want to Improve our Health and Wellbeing so…
Why is changing our habits and behavior so hard?
- We rely on our own will-power instead of embracing God’s love and healing power to help us (we could just stop with #1...)
- The health of our body, mind, spirit & relationships are intertwined; yet we often try to address each separately
- We try to change in isolation; when safe support, encouragement and accountability are needed
- We need a God-centered, love and joy filled perspective on wellbeing for change to happen.
- Education is confused with behavior change. We often know WHAT TO DO (education); but have not practiced HOW TO replace unhealthy habits with new enjoyable habits into the unique rhythm of our personal life
- Diets are short-term and rarely result in lasting change (Come Alive! is not a diet program.)
There is a better way
Include Come Alive! as a part of your small group ministry
The Come Alive! small group program takes participants on a thoughtful journey into the connection between spiritual practice and our physical health and holistic well-being.
Grounded firmly in the confidence that when we seek God first and embrace the love that God has for us, our path to healing and wholeness becomes a natural part of our everyday rhythm of life.
This approach to wellness - starting with God's love and joy in us, integrating well-being into the daily rhythms of our life, and connecting with others - is unique. It makes focusing on wellbeing less about denying ourselves of the things that we love, (but that are bad for us), and more about embracing all of the good and beauty that God places before us.
The Come Alive! curriculum is easy to navigate. It's interactive, with fun and interesting experiences like trying new foods, learning new perspectives about God, reflecting on patterns in our own lives, and moving in new ways.
Come Alive! is very DO-ABLE and practical in its approach. It emphasizes building small habits that last a lifetime. It includes budget friendly, and effective ways to make food and activity choices that create significant health gains.
The approach is flexible for those new to physical activity or for someone who wants more challenge. The Christ-centered small group format creates a safe place to deeply connect with other participants through shared experiences and discussion.
Its foundation on peer reviewed research in the CDC's Preventing Chronic Disease Journal points to how effective this approach can be to reduce inflammation to prevent disease, heal from disease, lose weight and improve mental wellbeing.
Come Alive! is an excellent fit for churches, women's groups, senior living communities, colleges, and Christian faith & wellbeing community outreach.
